DAVISVILLE EDUCATIONAL GARDEN

Lobbying for an educational community garden began in 2009, with over 250 signatures collected from interested residents. Finally, in 2017, the Davisville Educational Garden was constructed and opened to the public. Since then, the garden has flourished, showcasing native Ontario plants and pollinators, and producing a weekly harvest of fresh vegetables.

Our accompanying programs offer accessible learning opportunities for gardeners of all ages, and feature regular guest educators, authors, chefs, and activists. Our picturesque green space surrounding the garden is the perfect spot to host an outdoor music concert, art class, or poetry reading, and our harvest table is regularly used for community suppers, holiday celebrations, and special personal events!

THE MEDICINE WHEEL

The design was based off of the traditional medicine wheel, with two raised seedling areas that can be used as accessible garden beds.
