JUNE ROWLANDS PARK ENHANCEMENT PROJECT
Project Scope - (Budget)
In 2014, AppleTree recruited a group of midtown residents and Councillor Josh Matlow to help lobby for the redevelopment of June Rowlands Park – a large and accessible green space in
Toronto’s Davisville Village.
The vision: to create an age-neutral, eco-friendly, educationally empowered, and inclusive play space for all to enjoy.
After many years of lobbying and despite
a limited budget, the Sharon, Lois and Bram Playground and Music Garden was created, bringing much joy to residents and visitors from other communities. Sharon Hampson and Bram Morrison, of the iconic Canadian children’s music trio, are active members of the AppleTree community and were instrumental to bringing this project to life.
